The Greatest Journey is an educational program and mobile game that offers a fun and exciting way for kids to read their Bible and learn how to follow Jesus! Aboard a time-traveling spaceship, kids will be given an overview of Old and New Testaments. This will introduce them to major events that occurred before, during, and after the life of Christ. It’s a great opportunity to introduce Jesus Christ to kids ages 6 to 12 years old.
What is The Greatest Journey?
The Greatest Journey mobile app was created by evangelical Christian humanitarian aid organization, Samaritan’s Purse. This material is based on the 12-lesson Bible study for kids. Its goal is to equip children for the greatest adventure: to live boldly as faithful followers of Jesus Christ. The plan was created by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association who believes that kids as young as 6 years old can learn and teach others about Jesus Christ.
The interactive story game is led by its two main characters, Jacob and Jordan. In addition to narrating biblical stories, the leads will guide the kids through the application section. This will empower them to apply what they learned into their own lives. It is important that parents are present while the child is using the app to avoid any misunderstandings or miscommunication. This application is the free alternative to Samaritan’s Purse children’s booklet.
It comes complete with all the reading materials and discipleship resources that you and your child needs. The app focuses on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It also explores His various facets; Son of God, Son of Man, Messiah, Savior, Lamb of God, Christ, Immanuel. Other characters appear in the app as well such as David, Goliath, Angel Gabriel, Mary, and Joseph. After each story is completed, viewers can participate in a quick quiz.

The Greatest Journey is suitable for families with young children. Together, you can learn more about the Gospel and how it was relevant even before the coming of Christ. This app is also a good starting point for kids that have not yet read about Christ but are willing to learn more about Him.
